Blue Man Group’s wildly entertaining show can bring out the kid in anyone. So what happens when the audience is already filled with kids? Utter silliness.
As part of the Marilyn Rodman Theatre for Kids program, 500 kids filled the Charles Playhouse for a matinee performance by Boston’s beloved Blue Man Group on July 28. We “bought the house,” so every single seat was filled with groups of Greater Boston kids who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity to see a professional theatre production.
The young people in attendance hailed from more than 20 youth-focused nonprofit organizations, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester and Brockton, The South Boston Neighborhood House, The Germantown Neighborhood Center of Quincy, and Artists for Humanity.
Blue Man Group’s innovative, energy-filled performance thrilled the kids, who spent 100 straight minutes laughing, clapping, shouting, and of course…DANCING.
The only thing better than a Blue Man Group Ultimate Dance Party, is a Blue Man Group Ultimate Dance Party, Theatre for Kids style.
Over the past 15 years, the Marilyn Rodman Theatre for Kids program has sent over 60,000 at-risk kids to dozens of professional theatre productions, now including three Blue Man Group shows!
