Our mission at Jett Foundation is to extend and enrich the lives of individuals affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular disorders. We fulfill this mission by partnering with individuals and families through empowering educational programming, transformational direct service experiences, and by accelerating development of life-changing treatments.
Jett Foundation established the Jett Giving Fund to assist families affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy in purchasing unaffordable, but vital medical and accessibility equipment. Jett Giving Fund is a matching gift program; families raise half the funds needed for their equipment and Jett Foundation comes in to match their efforts and purchase the item they need. Health insurance often won’t cover all specialized medical and accessibility equipment such as scooters, shower chairs, ramps, rotational beds and accessible vans; items needed when suffering from a progressive muscle-wasting disorder. Without these necessities, those with Duchenne struggle to participate in the kinds of activities that most people take for granted, such as getting to and from school, or going to the mall with friends. Jett Foundation launched the Jett Giving Fund in 2017 to help meet the growing need in the Duchenne community. Through the generosity of individuals, corporate and foundation supporters, we have provided over $1 million worth of equipment to families across the USA.
