Amy found community, discipline, and formative leadership opportunities through participation in music programs from elementary through high school. As a child, she was fortunate to have a “village” that helped provide her access to critical opportunities and resources, and she is deeply passionate about ensuring equitable access for all kids. Amy came to Rodman for Kids from one of our Charity Partner organizations in 2005, and has served as Rodman for Kids’ Executive Director since 2019.
Jessica’s lifelong love for the arts began in 4th grade when her class was gifted tickets to The Nutcracker by an anonymous donor. She was first introduced to Rodman for Kids when she worked as the Ride Lead for a Charity Partner. Jessica now serves as Rodman for Kids’ Director of Development, helping to provide resources and opportunities to kids just like her.
Marisa had the opportunity to participate in various activities as a child, but sports became her greatest passion, fostering a sense of camaraderie, mental toughness, and a positive mindset. She first connected with Rodman for Kids in 1995 while working for Don Rodman and participated in her first Rodman Ride for Kids that same year. Today, she serves as the Director of Operations & Administration at Rodman for Kids, continuing to support its mission.
At his core, Bill is somebody who is driven by helping others, thrives being part of strong teams, and is a lover of all things sports and theatre. As a kid, Bill would summarize this by saying he wanted to be a “Doctor slash baseball player”. Through the years, he fine tuned that goal of giving back through the education/non-profit space while staying active in the local theatre community. Being able to combine his passions through leading Rodman for Kids’ programs, and doing it with such a dynamic & energetic team, is a dream come true.
Much of Maria’s dedication to teamwork, resilience, and leadership stems from a love for softball developed at 5 years old. Growing up on the field taught her the value of preparation, adaptability, and supporting every player to achieve a common goal—principles that continue to apply today as the Partnerships & Events Manager for Rodman for Kids! Maria was first introduced to Rodman for Kids in 2016 when she was the Development Associate for one of Rodman’s Charity Partners.
Jane has been involved with Rodman for Kids since she was 10 years old, volunteering for a former Charity Partner at the Ride for Kids. Despite early struggles with anxiety, her experience in student government helped her grow into a confident speaker and leader. Today, Jane leads the marketing efforts as Rodman for Kids’ Marketing & Communications Manager to support youth-focused nonprofits across Massachusetts.
After her family moved to a new town as a child, joining a soccer team helped Jenna form friendships and build confidence. After a career in global corporate training and development, Jenna was drawn to Rodman for Kids because she wanted her work to have a deeper purpose and make a lasting impact. As ‘Auntie Jenna’ to many kids, she is honored to serve as the Charity Partnerships Program Manager at Rodman for Kids, where she can apply her skills in program development and collaborative partnerships to support kids.
Camryn grew up surrounded by the performing arts and spent years as a competitive dancer, an experience that nurtured her creativity, teamwork, and love for bringing people together. Those same passions now guide her work in development and events, where she enjoys creating meaningful experiences that make a difference. Camryn first connected with Rodman for Kids as an in-kind donor, drawn to the organization’s commitment to expanding opportunities for young people. She now proudly serves as the Development and Events Assistant, helping to support and uplift the next generation.
Growing up, Chase spent most of her free time at a nonprofit children’s theater in Portland, Oregon. There, she found more than just a place to perform but also discovered a supportive community of artists and storytellers who helped her grow both personally and creatively. Her experience in nonprofit theater shaped her values, sparking a passion for making theater and arts education accessible to all. Chase first learned about Rodman for Kids through their buy-out of Pippin at Boston College, where she is currently a student. She feels incredibly fortunate to be the Theater for Kids Intern that creates opportunities for kids to fall in love with the performing arts, just like she once did.
Kevin was born and raised in the Berkshire’s of Massachusetts where a small town meant one big happy family. Growing up as a Boys and Girls Club “kid”, Kevin always knew he would give back to our youth. His passion has continued by coaching sports, volunteering, and mentoring young people to reach their full potential and investing in our future. Kevin has served on the inaugural Young Professionals Board since 2024.
Megan has had a passion for dance, theater, and the arts since a young age. With over 22 years of experience as a dancer, she also proudly served as the president of her high school’s thespian troupe. Through her involvement, she learned invaluable skills—everything from public speaking to management—while also having a creative outlet for self-expression. Megan is a firm believer that every child should have access to the arts and the opportunity to express themselves. She was introduced to Rodman for Kids by fellow dancer and board member, Mikey McCarthy, and is excited to support the organization’s mission. Megan currently works as a Client Operations Analyst at Willis Towers Watson.
Growing up, youth sports programs were a pivotal part of Erin’s life, helping her build critical skills and lifelong relationships that shaped who she is today. She was first connected with Rodman for Kids through a serendipitous coffee meeting with a staff member, and quickly saw the impact it makes on youth and wanted to be a part of the great group. Erin currently works at Cypress Health Partners as the Senior Marketing Manager
Josephine grew up as a first-generation Lebanese-American student in Dedham whose drama program allowed her to escape her shell. She first got connected to Rodman for Kids working with the Theatre for Kids program with her school New Heights Charter. Her executive director asked the staff who would like tickets to see a play and she leaped at the offer to take her scholars to this amazing experience.
Participating in Pop Warner cheerleading as a child helped Shakira come out of her shell and become the confident and comfortable leader she is today. Shakira first connected with Rodman for Kids as a Ride lead for a Charity Partner. She works at Cathleen Stone Island Outward Bound School as the Development Events Manager.
Initially more a reserved kid, Peter learned teamwork, resiliency and dedication by participating in youth sports. He believes all kids deserve the opportunity to pursue and explore their passions, as well as participate in programs that foster character building and personal growth. Peter is a new member of the Rodman for Kids Young Professionals Board and is excited to support the organization as it carries out its mission. He is currently working as a Financial Planner at Shadduck Financial Group in the Greater Boston Area.
Emily grew up immersed in community theater, an experience that profoundly shaped her confidence, creativity, and leadership skills. As a theater educator in Boston Public Schools, she has had numerous opportunities from the Rodman Theater for Kids program to bring students to live performances, igniting a passion for the arts that has grown into a thriving program. Rodman for Kids is dedicated to removing obstacles that prevent young people from experiencing the arts, and Emily is honored to serve on the Young Professionals Board of an organization so deeply aligned with her personal mission to empower and inspire youth through the joy, inspiration, and opportunity that only the arts can bring.
As a child, Maggie’s access to afterschool programs played a huge role in shaping her creativity and confidence. She first connected with Rodman for Kids through Larry Liuzzo, a fellow Young Professionals Board member and active community member, and was inspired by their mission to provide opportunities for young people. Now, she works at Boston College as an Assistant Director of Development, where she continues to advocate for programs and resources that empower our leaders of tomorrow.
Competing in various youth sports leagues in his hometown of West Springfield helped shape Tommy into the person he is today. Win or lose, his family, coaches, and teammates imparted important lessons about teamwork, determination, leadership, friendship, and always giving your best effort. Tommy was recently connected to Rodman for Kids by his former colleague and inaugural YPB member Tatiana Joyce, and Tommy is eager to support the org’s mission to expand access to the programs and resources that help young people pursue their dreams and grow into who they want to be. He is currently a Sr. Program Manager at Commonwealth Corporation supporting workforce development initiatives across the Commonwealth.
Caitlin grew up in a small town in Vermont where she was a leader of Outing Club, a student organization aimed at getting outside–hiking, camping, exploring, and everything in between! Outing Club fostered an appreciation of and curiosity about the natural world that she has carried with her. She first connected with Rodman for Kids through a Charity Partner in 2019 and was moved by the impact they have on children statewide. Caitlin is the Associate Director, Employer Relations at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
Tatiana is a Bostonian, proud aunt, and collaborative leader in public and private grantmaking. She currently works as the Assistant Deputy Director of Grants and Procurement for the City of Boston’s Workforce Development Office. She is passionate about championing the upward economic mobility of Boston residents. Tatiana found Rodman for Kids back in 2010 as a program participant with one of the affiliate non-profit partners and has volunteered at both the Ride and Celebration for Kids over the years. She now serves as a member of the Young Professionals Board est. in 2024.
The program that has most shaped who Taryn is as a person and what she believes was a life-defining moment, was the National Youth Leadership Forum. This program was recommended by her high school chemistry teacher and during the program, she delivered a simulation baby and it was in that moment that she realized she wanted to be a doctor, committing herself to helping others. Taryn had always grown up hearing about Rodman for Kids as her grandfather was a longtime supporter and was fortunate to join the organization herself as a Young Professionals Board Member. She is a spine surgeon at New England Baptist Hospital.
Mikey, a dancer for 19 years, developed a passion for live entertainment early on, which was later strengthened thanks to the Theatre for Kids program in 2016 when he went to a performance of “Wicked.” He earned a theatre degree from Suffolk University in May 2024 and now works as a freelance production manager and technical director in the Boston Theatre scene.
Most people are surprised to learn that Ryan was shy as a kid, but found confidence in community by playing soccer, joining student council, and volunteering as he grew up. He got connected to Rodman for Kids via fellow board-member Maggie, whose enthusiasm for the program led him to do his own research and become enthusiastic in his own right. He is currently working at Litera, a legal technology company, as a Digital Marketing Manager.
Tara began her creative journey in high school designing the yearbook, which taught her teamwork, creativity, and storytelling. Having previously worked with other youth-focused organizations, she was first connected to Rodman for Kids through her network in the non-profit space. Currently, Tara works as a Marketing Specialist at Core Development & Management, where she plans marketing strategies and builds a strong brand presence for 80+ independently owned Planet Fitness gyms.
Dubbed the “bossy” eldest child by her siblings, Jessica loved any chance to plan and organize as a child, so it was no surprise when she was recruited to join the Mayor’s Youth Commission and strategize how the youth of her hometown could better their community – a passion that has stayed with her into adulthood. Jessica first connected with Rodman for Kids in 2019 when her PR agency began managing their PR, offering her an inside look at all of the amazing work being done. She currently works as the UCAN PR Manager for HomeExchange, overseeing the company’s PR strategy for the United States, UK, Canada, and Australia.
Geno has been involved with Rodman for Kids for several years, inspired by our Founder’s mission to invest in the youth of Boston’s communities and deliver incredbile opportunities. A graduate of Xaverian Brothers and Boston College, his experiences in student-led organizations, community volunteer work, and Catholic social teachings played a pivotal role in shaping his values. Currently, he serves as a Preconstruction Estimator and Analyst at Sleeping Dog Properties in Boston.
Growing up, Nicole participated in several arts and technology programs which helped build the foundation for her creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Nicole was recently connected with Rodman for Kids by a fellow young professional and is excited to get involved. Currently working for Workhuman as their Marketing Technologist, she helps manage and support their event technology stack.
As a kid, Jamie was granted the opportunity to work as a caddy at a country club south of Boston. During his years here, Jamie met many people who taught him a number of vital life lessons. Chief amongst these lessons was the importance of giving back when you can. Jamie was first introduced to Rodman for Kids by his grandfather, who was a close friend and longtime supporter of the organization. When the opportunity presented itself, Jamie was thrilled to jump on board as an inaugural member of the YPB. He is currently serving as Chief Financial Officer for C.J. Shaughnessy Crane Service, a local family-owned crane and rigging company.
Always being boisterous and outgoing, Tom used theatre throughout his life to utilize his best attributes. Tom is newly connected to Rodman For Kids and is excited for this union! He is currently employed at The Marilyn Rodman Performing Arts Center as a House Manager and Youth Committee Co-Leader.
Everything we do is driven by our desire to carry forward the legacy left behind by our Founder, Don Rodman and his wife, Marilyn Rodman, who devoted the last few decades of their lives to kids.
Don believed that every child deserved opportunities to dream, to grow, and to succeed. Our mission is to continue his incredible legacy to ensure his impact is felt on young people for years to come.
