Then the Rodman for Kids’ Young Professionals Board (YPB) is for you! Each member of the YPB will fundraise for Rodman for Kids, helping our programs grow and thrive, as well as gaining opportunities to network with one another.

YPB Expectations

  • The fundraising minimum for each YPB member is $1,500.
  • The membership term takes place from January – October.
    • Fundraising takes place from January – September.
    • Rodman for Kids supplies the online fundraising platform (DonorDrive) that is user friendly and simple to use.
  • Each member of the YPB will participate in the 37th Annual Rodman Ride for Kids (our annual cycling event) in Foxboro, MA on Saturday, May 22, 2027.
    • You can ride the 25 or 50 mile route OR participate as a virtual participant and do something on your own.
      • The 25 mile route does not require training, but definitely plan to train for the 50 mile route.
      • If you choose to ride on Ride Day, you will need to acquire your own bike. We will provide you with a Rodman for Kids bike jersey.
      • If you are a virtual rider, we ask you to volunteer on Ride Day.
      • After you finish your ride, enjoy some brews and burgers at the barbecue and visit our Vendor Village.
  • There will be meetings once a month from January-October with the exception of no meeting in May or July. We ask that each member attends 6 out of the 8 meetings.
    • Our schedule will feature mission-driven meetings, hosted at various locations in between Boston and Foxboro.

 

YPB Volunteer Opportunities

  • When we have a Theatre for Kids buyout of a performance, we will reach out to the YPB for assistance with ticket distribution or taking photos. Please note this usually only happens 1-2 times a year.
  • Throughout the year, we will have many opportunities for the YPB to volunteer with our Charity Partner’s events. Volunteer opportunities will be shared throughout the year in advance.

 

YPB Perks

  • You will have countless opportunities to network and connect with likeminded individuals!
  • You will have the opportunity to attend any/all professional development sessions offered to our Charity Partners, giving you access to free professional development opportunities from experts in a variety of fields.
  • If you reach your $1,500 goal, you and a guest will be invited to our Celebration for Kids gala in Boston! The evening will consist of live music, LOTS of dancing, an open bar, and various cuisines from the top chefs in Boston!
  • Volunteer opportunities are available throughout the year, including volunteering at Theatre for Kids performances.
  • You may also receive occasional ticket offers to live theatre performances in Boston, MA and Providence, RI.
