Brightened Futures 6/12: Building Big Dreams with Foxborough Regional Charter School

At Rodman for Kids, our Charity Partner Program is about more than fundraising. It’s about empowering organizations, fostering collaboration, and creating opportunities that help young people dream bigger and reach further. We know that when people unite around a shared purpose, incredible things happen.

This year, Foxborough Regional Charter School (FRCS) exemplified that belief as a first-year Charity Partner, embracing opportunities to connect with fellow organizations and create meaningful impact for students and families. FRCS is a K-12 college preparatory public charter school whose mission is to provide students with a challenging academic program that prepares them for college and empowers them to become leaders in their communities.

Throughout their first year in the Charity Partner Program, FRCS discovered just how much can be accomplished through collaboration. By engaging with fellow Charity Partners and tapping into their own network of supporters, staff, and volunteers, they strengthened relationships and reinforced the power of working toward a common goal.

“We have seen what a great network of supporters and collaborators we have on our staff and in our community,” shared Toby Romer, Executive Director of FRCS. “Now we know that working together, we can do big things.”

That spirit was on full display during the 36th Annual Rodman Ride for Kids. By covering all event expenses, Rodman for Kids ensures that Charity Partners keep 100% of the funds they raise so they can maximize their impact on the kids they serve. As a first-time Charity Partner, FRCS raised more than $20,000 in support of their mission while bringing together supporters from across their school community.

“It was amazing to be a first-time partner with Rodman for Kids and experience the excitement of the Ride for Kids in person,” Toby said. “To have raised over $20,000 in a way that brought our community together to accomplish the goal was truly powerful.”

The impact of those efforts is perhaps best captured in one particularly meaningful moment. Members of the FRCS Foundation leadership team had the opportunity to stand before their senior class and present scholarship checks to students pursuing their college dreams. It was a powerful reminder that every partnership built and every dollar raised ultimately creates opportunities for young people to pursue their aspirations and broaden their horizons.

As they look ahead, FRCS is excited to continue learning and growing as part of the Rodman for Kids Charity Partner network. Through the collective experience of fellow Charity Partners, they see new opportunities to maximize the impact of their fundraising and programming, and continue expanding what’s possible for their students and school community.

Reflecting on their first year as a Charity Partner, Toby shared, “This experience has been so special not only for our Foundation board, but also for students, families, and our school community. We’re so grateful to be a part of it.”

At Rodman for Kids, we are honored to partner with organizations like FRCS that believe in the power of connection and are committed to helping young people realize their potential. Together, we’re creating opportunities that empower students, strengthen communities, and build brighter futures.
