LeEric Daye is new to the Rodman for Kids Board of Directors, but the impact he has already had is immense. In his own words, “I was one of the kids Rodman for Kids exists to serve.”
LeEric works as a Principal, Senior Wealth Advisor at Beacon Pointe, a registered investment advisory firm. Soon after joining Beacon Pointe, LeEric began looking for ways to give back to the community. He was introduced to Rodman for Kids Board Chairman, Joe D’Arrigo, and said, “I spent an hour with Joe at the Rodman for Kids office and could immediately feel the passion he and the team have for helping kids.”
LeEric’s determination for finding a way to give back stems from his upbringing – being raised in Mattapan by a single mom. LeEric says that “the greatest gift she (mom) gave me was enrolling me in the METCO program in first grade…The program not only gave me access to an amazing education, but it also provided me with the opportunity to be exposed to people, cultures, and experiences I may never have had without METCO.”
When asked why he chose to support Rodman for Kids, LeEric said, “Rodman for Kids brings the same access and opportunity that I had to kids right where they are…We are doing something no other organization is doing. We believe in the power of collaboration and working together to support and amplify the work of more than 40 youth-focused non-profits. We are a leader in the effort to support the most vulnerable kids in our community.” Since joining the Rodman for Kids Board of Directors, LeEric has become the Board Treasurer, serves on the Audit & Finance Committee, and helped raise over $30,000 with Team Beacon Pointe at the 32nd Annual Rodman Ride for Kids.
“I was one of the lucky ones to make it out of Mattapan. I’ve always felt like I should be doing more to help. I know I’ve found my path to making a difference.”
