Family Nurturing Center (FNC)’s Director of Development, Valerie Bean, recently spoke to Rodman for Kids’ Board of Directors about the impact Rodman for Kids has had on their organization. FNC’s mission is to work with others to build nurturing communities where children are cherished, families are supported, and healthy human development is promoted by all.  

Participating in Rodman for Kids’ Charity Partner Program was a key reason for FNC’s success over the last 18 years. How? “We finally had a vehicle (the Ride for Kids) for our board members and other friends to participate in something where they could help bring in funding for us.” As a result of their partnership with us, FNC increased their annual revenue from $500,000 in 2005 to the $4.5 million organization that they are today! “Becoming a Charity Partner was a key thing for us,” Valerie added. 

In addition to financial support, Rodman for Kids provides space and programs for collaboration, networking, professional development, and best practices for our Charity Partners. When speaking to the collaboration and networking portion of our Charity Partner Program, Valerie said that it was instrumental to her professional growth, in addition to her organization’s growth. “I’m not alone – I have a whole support group around me!” A support group that even brought her a development mentor who she still meets with regularly!

We’re so excited and honored to be a part of FNC’s growth and success. We cannot wait to continue partnering with and supporting FNC on the amazing work they do for kids and families in our community.
